Sing to Read Research

In an accidental discovery, some schools found that students using a software program at home to improve their singing accuracy were making dramatic gains in reading achievement.  The software company, Electronic Learning Products, contacted a researcher from the University of South Florida who then conducted three years of independent studies funded by grants from the Florida Dept. of Ed.  She has investigated the effects of singing on reading achievement with over 1000 students.  The groups using the singing software, TUNEin to READING, experienced an average gain of over one grade level in reading achievement in only 9 weeks (three 30-minute sessions per week). See press release and view the video by the University of South Florida.
